This was a dialogue uttered by Amitabh Bachchan in the movie “Akhein”. At times, one encounters incidents that make you really appreciate this statement.

I was browsing through the book review page of a magazine, when I chanced upon the book review of a book called “In Search”, which traces the evolution of internet search engines, and more specifically, Google. The most mind-boggling claim made in the book is that Google, with it’s database of all the words searched for by billions across the world, can now answer the question “What does mankind want??”. It can tell what do people what to know. What are their aspirations, their fears, their priorities. In short, they can tell what people across the world are thinking!!
Food for thought... uh ??

Saw a new ad on the tele the other day. It was an ad for a potato chip company. And guess who was the lead model in the ad. None other than Saurav Ganguly.
Goodness!! That has to be the daftest Ad campaign in history!! These days, hiring Ganguly as the mascot for your brand must be the surest way of killing it. Unless ofcourse, you are offering the product in the West Bengal market only!

oops ... googles threw 6 results on the line "what does mankind want" ... don't know really if it is possible for anyone to find out what one wants... as mankind itself doesn't know what to want!
He he...
Ganguly is out big time...Buried and Resting In Peace...
I remember this quote "Kalpana se bhi vichitr hai yeh sach !!". It was one of Shubham's usual quotes which had people squirming in their seats ...
